So it is important to do whatever is possible to have your property looking its absolute best on inspection day.  To improve the presentation, seek an outside opinion, as many of these problems can be fixed over a weekend for little expense.

2.  Space Sells – Clear away all clutter.

3.  Keep It Neutral – With homewares evolving and becoming more diverse and playful, remember that  prospective buyers may not share your taste so it is best to stick with neutral tones to walls, floors and window furnishings and classic stainless steel for fixtures and fittings.

4.  Small Things Make a Big Difference – Fix all sticking doors/windows, loose doorknobs and faulty plumbing.

5.  Highlight Your Home –Create brightness and lightness by opening window furnishings and switching on lights to brighten up gloomy spots prior to the arrival of prospective buyers.

6.  Pets – Ensure your pets are restrained or removed from the property during inspections.

7.  Little Extras – A clean kitchen and sparkling bathroom make all the difference during the marketing process and a vase of fresh flowers or a scented candle make for a warm welcome for prospective buyers.
